Gloucester-based young entrepreneur wins prestigious award from The Music Works charity

Jacob Ferguson, an emerging local entrepreneur in Gloucester, has been honoured with The Music Works' Youth Entrepreneur Award in recognition of his remarkable achievements through his venture, FF6 CIC. FF6 CIC strives to inspire young people to engage in physical activity by offering structured and consistent sporting opportunities. The company employs a range of off-field strategies, such as mentoring, counselling, and life coaching, in conjunction with on-field interactions, to provide tailored support services.

Jacob [pictured left receiving the award at Eastgate Shopping Centre] says, “The Music Works have found a generous way of recognising and rewarding the efforts of young entrepreneurs like myself. I am happy that the work my team and I are putting in, is being recognised and we will continue to encourage people to follow our journey on social media (@UKFF6) and join our six-a-side football league to stay fit and enjoy weekly competition!”

The Youth Entrepreneur Award, presented by Gloucestershire charity The Music Works, holds great significance as it celebrates and highlights young entrepreneurs like Jacob from the local area.

“Many young entrepreneurs in Gloucestershire remain unnoticed and lack the support needed to realise their full potential. This award provides a platform for them and through mentoring sessions, we've witnessed firsthand how this award boosts the confidence of entrepreneurs and helps them develop their businesses with the initial grant.” says Malaki Patterson [Artistic Director, The Music Works]

In collaboration with partners and sponsors including Smart Home Sounds and Eastgate Shopping Centre, The Music Works provides a business grant, mentorship, and the opportunity for a retail presence within Eastgate Shopping Centre for 6 weeks.

“We are thrilled to sponsor the Youth Entrepreneur Award, a programme that celebrates the innovation and creativity of young entrepreneurs in our community. At Smart Home Sounds, we are passionate about supporting emerging entrepreneurs to turn their ambitions into thriving businesses.” says Emily [Head of Marketing, Smart Home Sounds]

“We are delighted to be able to support The Music Works and the incredible work that they do in the local community, such as their Youth Entrepreneur Award. We extend our congratulations to FF6 and look forward to working with them going forward” says Jason [Senior Destination Manager at Eastgate Shopping Centre].
