Easter at Eastgate Shopping Centre – Shop, Explore & Enjoy More This Spring
Spring has officially arrived in Gloucester, and with it comes one of the most exciting times of the year at Eastgate Shopping Centre – Easter!
Parking Update: Following a change in Gloucester City Council policy, the Eastgate and King’s Walk car parks now operate a pay and display system. Blue Badge holders no longer need a digital permit — simply display a valid Blue Badge when parking.
The Eastgate Shopping Centre offers a dedicated rooftop car park, providing convenient parking for up to 380 vehicles. The main entrance to this car park is via the Brunswick Road entrance (Sat Nav: GL1 1XN). For full details on parking fees, opening hours, and other facilities, please visit the official Gloucester City Council Eastgate Car Park page.
The car park operates seven days a week, including Bank Holidays, from 7:00am to 5:00pm. Please note that pedestrian access is limited after 7:00pm, available only via vehicle ramps. Additionally, access to the car park is through the Eastgate Shopping Centre, which locks its entrances at 6:00pm from Monday to Saturday and at 5:00pm on Sunday.

In addition to our dedicated rooftop parking, visitors can also make use of King’s Walk Car Park, which is just a short two-minute walk away.
The Eastgate Shopping Centre is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible environment for all visitors. The dedicated rooftop car park includes 20 Blue Badge parking spaces and 18 parent and child spaces. Following a change in Gloucester City Council policy in September 2025, the previous ANPR/barrier system was replaced with a pay and display system. As a result, Blue Badge holders parking at the Eastgate Shopping Centre or King’s Walk multi-storey car parks now only need to display a valid Blue Badge. The digital ‘chip’ permit, also known as MiPermit, is no longer required at either car park. Blue Badge holders are entitled to up to three hours of free parking, after which standard charges apply. All payment machines accept cash, cards, and Apple Pay to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience. For more details on how to find us and parking availability, visit our How to Find Us page.
